Jeanette Scarbrough, 70, of Houston, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2026, in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on May 26, 1956, in Houston, Texas, to Laura and Eugene Scarbrough.
Jeanette spent many years working as a retail clerk manager, where her friendly personality and warm spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was known for her kind heart, generous nature, and lifelong dedication to caring for others. Being a caregiver came naturally to Jeanette, and she devoted much of her life to supporting and loving her family and friends. She found comfort and joy in the simple things she loved most watching her favorite television shows, including her favorite TV show Leave It to Beaver and her beloved “hostage episode” of Gunsmoke, and rarely being without a bottle of Dr Pepper in hand. Jeanette’s warmth, humor, and genuine love for people made her cherished by all who knew her.
Although she did not have children, she helped raise many, and she was a mother figure to ALL. Jeanette is survived by her brother, Kenneth Scarbrough and his wife Luann; her nephews Kenneth Scarbrough Jr. and his wife Mary, Mike Scarbrough and his wife Teresa, Gerald Ennis and his wife Shellie, Kevin Ennis and his wife Natalie, Steven Ennis and his wife Shantell, Clint Ennis and his wife Holly,
Great Nephews and Nieces, Brittney Scarbrough and spouse Bonnie Winter, Brandy Scarbrough, Kevin Thornton, Austin Ennis, Hayden Ennis, Jerry Ennis, Carley Ennis, Madison Mollard, Peyton Ennis, Laila Ennis, Ashlee Ennis, Kaitlyn Ennis, Chloe Levay, and Haylee Chapman.
Great Great Nephews and Nieces Kaden Mabry-Coleman, Ali Ennis, Millie Ennis, Joshua Mollard and Wesley May.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Laura and Eugene Scarbrough, and her sisters, Barbara Scarbrough and Bobby Ennis.
She leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will treasure her memory.
Jeanette will be dearly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was filled with love, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
