Jeanette Scarbrough's Obituary
Jeanette Scarbrough, 70, of Houston, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2026, in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on May 26, 1956, in Houston, Texas, to Laura and Kenneth Eugene Scarbrough.
Jeanette spent many years working as a retail clerk, where her friendly personality and warm spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was known for her kind heart, generous nature, and lifelong dedication to caring for others. Being a caregiver came naturally to Jeanette, and she devoted much of her life to supporting and loving her family and friends.
She found comfort and joy in the simple things she loved most—watching her favorite television shows, including her favorite TV show Leave It to Beaver and her beloved “hostage episode” of Gunsmoke, and rarely being without a bottle of Dr Pepper in hand. Jeanette’s warmth, humor, and genuine love for people made her cherished by all who knew her.
Although she did not have children she raised many, she was a mother figure to most. Jeanette is survived by her daughters Brittney and her partner Bonnie and Brandy Scarbrough, her brother, Kenneth Scarbrough and his wife Luann; her nephews Kenneth Scarbrough Jr. and his wife Mary, Mike Scarbrough and his wife Teresa, Gerald Ennis and his wife Shellie, Kevin Ennis and his wife Natalie, Clint Ennis and his wife Holly, Steven Ennis and his wife Shantell, Kevin Thornton Chloe Levay, Hunter and Hayley Chapman, and great nephew Wesley May. She leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will treasure her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Laura and Kenneth Eugene Scarbrough, and her sisters, Bobby Ennis and Barbara Scarbrough.
Jeanette will be dearly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was filled with love, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
