Jason Dewayne Russell, 44, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2023, in Baytown, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and faith. He was born on August 9, 1979, to proud parents Tim and Debbie Massey in Crosby, Texas. On August 21, 2004, he united his life with the love of his life, Destiny Nickens, in Crosby, Texas, beginning a journey filled with devotion and togetherness.
Throughout his life, Jason found fulfillment in his career as a heavy haul truck driver, demonstrating dedication and skill in his work. Beyond his profession, he possessed a passion for creating delectable dishes to share with others, casting lines into the water while fishing, and finding solace and strength in the embrace of his church family as he worshipped the Lord.
Jason's memory will forever be cherished by those who survive him, including his loving wife, Destiny Russell, whose hearts remain intertwined through the bond of marriage. His devotion extended to his children: daughter Madison Michele Russell and son Jason Dewayne Russell Jr., who will carry his love and guidance with them throughout their lives.
Jason is also survived by his brothers, each holding a special place in his heart: Tim Camp of Dayton, Texas, Steven Russell of Crosby, Texas, Justin Massey of Crosby, Texas, Chris Massey and his wife Kelli Massey of Baytown, Texas. His mother, Debbie Massey, will forever hold dear the cherished memories of her beloved son.
In the embrace of eternal rest, Jason joins those who have gone before him, including his father, Tim Massey, his grandparents, Henry Russell and Bernice Russell, his brother, Shawn Massey, his nephew, Cody Massey, and his cousin, Sonny Alexander.
In this moment of sorrow, we remember the joy Jason brought into our lives, the love he shared, and the impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
