Janet Gilstrap McClelland's Obituary
Janet Laverne Gilstrap McClelland, 67, of Houston, Texas passed away on February 3, 2022. She was born on September 18, 1954, in Houston, Texas to David and Shirley Jean Gilstrap. She married the love of her life Johnnie H. McClelland on June 17, 1972. She enjoyed spending time camping, gambling, and quilting. Her biggest joy was spending quality time with her family. Janet enjoyed the holidays, especially Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, where she would invite family and friends to their home to celebrate. She also looked forward to visiting Sam Rayburn Lake annually with her family and visits to the beach.
She is preceded in death by her parents David P. and Shirley Jean Gilstrap and her sister Debra Jean Gilstrap Smith.
Janet is survived by her husband Johnnie H. McClelland; three sons Johnnie H. McClelland, Jr., Ronnie Allen McClelland and wife Jena McClelland, and Bradley Adam McClelland; brother David P. Gilstrap, Jr. and wife Debra; sister Ginger Gail Gilstrap Martin and husband Eugene; grandchildren Dylan, Daniel and wife Cat, Angel and partner Matt, Megan, Leanne and husband Bobby, Justin, Kyle, Trevor, Katelyn, Abby, and Zane; great grandson Stetson and great granddaughter Willow; several nieces and nephews all whom will continue to cherish on her everlasting memories
