Uncle Durwood, where do I being.....
-You never seemed to mind when I visited at your house, when I was a kid, before I got married, at Christmas time when we lived in Jacinto City, our visits the past few years, and our visits since moving to Manvel.
-You said you knew who sent the Birthday, Anniversary and Christmas cards I sent in December every year.
-You sold me my first car, a turquoise 1957 MGB. Being small, I fit real well in it.
-You sold Joe and me our second boat, a Grady White. Boy was that some boat.
-You brought me a tank of gas before Joe came home from Vietnam, so I could go to work. Gas was 19 cents a gallon, but I had probably spent all my money.
-You gave Little Joe his first haircut, an many more after that, and you truly enjoyed having him around for two years or more.
For all these memories we shared, I thank you, with all my heart. God has been good to me, and I will be forever grateful to Him for placing you in my life. Rest in peace sweet man.
