James Matthew Laake's Obituary
James Matthew Laake of Channelview, Texas passed on December 15, 2023, at the blessed age of 70. He was born on June 27, 1953, to parents Jeane and Lawrence Laake in San Benito Texas.
James married Dixie Lee on September 19, 1974, in Channelview, Texas. He worked as a Building Engineer for Hine Interest for 37 years and 8 months.
He was a member on the Board of Harris County Fresh Water Supply. He enjoyed playing his favorite game Boom Beach and traveling with his family across the country.
He served in the Army from 1970 to May 24, 1974, as a Private First Class, Gunnery Sergeant 1st Calvary.
James is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Lee Laake, daughter Jessica Laake of Channelview, Texas; sons, Jerry Laake, Isaac Laake and Aaron Laake and his wife Marie Laake; 12 grandchildren, Aspen, Kati, Keri, Serinity, Genesis, Pawnee, Chase, Bryce, Keagan, Lovi, Arik, and Haven.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Rogers, mother Jeane and father, Lawrence, and his daughter-in-law, Brenda Smart.
