James G. Hansen, age 69, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on April 12, 2026, in Houston, Texas.
James was born on November 30, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Harold G. Hansen and Virgie A. Broussard. He later made Houston his home, where he built a life filled with hard work, strong family bonds, and many cherished memories.
On November 8, 1996, James married the love of his life, Paloma Hansen, in Houston, Texas. Together they shared nearly three decades of marriage devoted to family, love, and companionship.
James worked as a truck driver for more than 20 years, taking pride in his work and dedication. Outside of his career, he enjoyed many hobbies that reflected his creative and nostalgic spirit. He loved taking and collecting photographs, building birdhouses through his carpentry work, and watching classic cartoons such as Snoopy and Popeye. When he was able, he found joy and freedom riding his motorcycle.
Above all else, James treasured time spent with his family and especially adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness.
James is survived by his beloved life partner, Paloma Hansen; his daughters, Leslie Hansen, Eimy Aguirre, and Rebecca Giron; his sons, James Hansen II and David Aguirre; his sisters, Cathey Bodenheimer and her husband, Arthur Bodenheimer and Judy Hansen; and his brother, Norman Hansen. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, along with many other loving relatives and friends.
James G. Hansen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
