James Andrew Godoy's Obituary
James Andrew Godoy, 55, of Houston, Texas passed away on July 7, 2021, in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on September 7, 1965, to Leonardo G. and Mary L. Godoy in Houston, TX.
He married Mireya Godoy on July 1, 1989 in Houston, Texas. He was a electrical contractor for over 35 years with various companies. He was a proud member of HLSR- Tours/ Logistics Committee. He enjoyed Texans Tailgating, Astros games, golfing, time with his huge family and friends. He was always perfecting his BBQing skill and loved sharing stories over a drink or one more with great laughter and dancing.
James is survived by his wife Mireya Godoy; his daughters Kristen N. Godoy and Karryn A. Godoy both of Houston, Texas; sisters Elizabeth (Jack) Esparza, Herlinda (Carlos) Macias, Lucille (Jose) Silva, Lori (James) Alvarez, Lillian Godoy, and Mary D. Godoy; brothers John (Maria) Godoy, Leonard (Theresa) Godoy, Gerald Godoy, and Jacob (Jennifer) Godoy; his grand dogs Meeko, Miley, Morton, and Sarge and grand cat Bello; and numerous in-laws and countless nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Leonardo G. and Mary L. Godoy; sister Lydia Godoy; nephews Justin C. Godoy and Jason Godoy.
Visitation for James will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 4 pm to 8 pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, Texas 77015. Funeral service will take place the following morning Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 10 am with interment to follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
