Celebrating the life of Jacobo Perez Marquez
Jacobo was born on October 11, 1957 in Pearsall, Texas.There he blessed the lives of his parents Eloy Marquez Sr. (deceased) and is (survived) by his mother Felice Marquez, as the 4th of 6 children. After attending Pearsall High School, he began his career in the Oil Industry where he worked until his passing on November 1st 2016. Jacobo was a long time resident of Channelview Texas and he was a man of strong belief in serving God and following a righteous path. To say that Jacobo was a family man would be an understatement…his family was his life. He was known by his friends and family as a loving, caring, and loyal man. While also always trying to be cheerful and respectful of all. Some of his favorite pastimes included watching football games, following politics and motivating people to do their very best in all that they do. As we reflect and celebrate the life of Jacobo we must also mention his love of music, especially Elvis Presley’s “My Way”, George Jone’s “Choices” and Los Garcia Brothers’ “Dos Carnales”.
Jacobo is survived by his loving family: common law wife Ana Contreras, Children: Cindy, Billie, Jacob Jr., Rebecca, Step Children: Ruth Clarissa, Anali Gomez, Abel Gomez, Brothers: Guillermo Marquez and Eloy Marquez Jr., Sisters Amanda De Leon, Virginia Martinez and Patricia M. Trevino. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and numerous, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends including two special friends Paul Martinez and Dennis Lee. Jacobo will be missed by all who knew him. At this time the family would like to thank everyone for their expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.
