Mrs. Jackie A. Nealon's Obituary
Jacqueline (Jackie) Ann Wroblewski Stell Nealon died at Houston Hospice - Thursday, April 2, 2009. Jackie fought many serious health problems the past few years and she and God decided it was time for her to rest. Jackie was born June 19, 1940, San Antonio, Texas to Paul and Josaphine Wroblewski. She grew up in Denver Harbor and lived her entire life in Houston. She was a florist and was in the printing industry before her retirement in March 2008. One of the original "Luv Ya Blue" fans of the Houston Oilers, She was an ardent fan of the Houston Astros and attended many games at the Astrodome, including the last game the Astros played at the Dome in 1999. Health problems in recent years prevented her from attending games but she followed them closely on TV and cheered loudly from home. Jackie worked for many years with the Houston Athletic Committee and helped in the planning of the Astros' annual baseball dinners. She had a love of crafts and spent many hours painting ceramics and decorating bird houses, many of which she shared as gifts with family and friends. Jackie was a gentle soul, a good mother to her sons, a good "mommy dog" to her dogs, and a loyal and faithful friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but we are comforted in knowing that she is at peace. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Jean Wroblewski; infant son, Jesse Stell; husband, Alan Nealon; father and mother-in-law Clark and Eleanor Nealon; and her precious dogs Bruno, Clyde and B.J. Survivors include son Joe Stell and his daughter Stephini Ramer son and daughter-in-law Steve and Judy Stell; brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Arlene Wroblewski; sister Marie Bergen; several nieces and nephews; and beloved dog Lizzie Petunia. She also leaves behind a host of friends, including dog "friends" who knew her as Aunt Jackie. The family wishes to thank the doctors who treated Jackie these past few years, particularly John Seger, MD and Michael Bevers, MD. There will be a viewing Sunday April 5 from 4pm-6pm followed by a rosary from 6pm-8pm and the Funeral will be held at 10am Monday April 6.
