Humberto G. Hernandez's Obituary
Humberto Hernandez, aged 70, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Pasadena, Texas. Born on April 20, 1954, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Pedro and Gabriela Hernandez, Humberto was the youngest of nine children.
When Humberto was a young man, he ventured to the bright lights of Chicago with his brother Tomas Martinez. Eventually destiny beckoned him back to Nuevo Laredo where he began his life with Blanca Esthela Rodriguez (nee). They married and, her being just as fearless as he, they immigrated to America. Before their separation they had three sons, Humberto Hernandez Jr., Angel Gabriel Hernandez, and Alberto Rene Hernandez.
Humberto worked as a pressman at Houston Community Newspaper for many years, printing “The Pasadena Citizen” and other local newspapers. Despite not having a formal education, he was mechanically inclined and taught his sons auto mechanic skills. Humberto also passed on his barbecuing techniques, especially for his chicken, which should be world renowned.
Seven years ago he had a battle with colon cancer, and was six years cancer free. Humberto was currently unmarried and retired, residing in Pasadena, surrounded by friends.
Humberto was preceded in death by his namesake and first-born Humberto Hernandez Jr. He is survived by sisters Ana Savina, Margarita Victoria and Chayo Galves, brothers Tomas Martinez and Cutberto Martinez, sons Angel and Alberto Hernandez, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Humberto Hernández, de 70 años, falleció pacíficamente mientras dormía en su casa en Pasadena, Texas. Nacido el 20 de abril de 1954 en Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, México, hijo de Pedro y Gabriela Hernández, Humberto era el menor de nueve hermanos.
Cuando Humberto era joven, se aventuró a las brillantes luces de Chicago con su hermano Tomás Martínez. Finalmente, el destino lo llamó de regreso a Nuevo Laredo, donde comenzó su vida con Blanca Esthela Rodríguez (de soltera). Se casaron y, como ella era tan intrépida como él, emigraron a Estados Unidos. Antes de su separación tuvieron tres hijos, Humberto Hernández Jr., Ángel Gabriel Hernández y Alberto René Hernández.
