Mr. Hiram Dean Pool's Obituary
Hiram Dean "Dirty" Pool, 71, left this earthly life on February 18, 2010. He was immediately welcomed into Heaven by his parents and two of his three brothers. He was born in Genoa, Texas on November 27, 1938 and was employed by Lyondell Chemical Company for over 40 years. Since retirement he spent his time golfing (almost daily), hunting, and participating in barbecue cook offs, including the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had many friends throughout Texas and was much loved by all who knew him. He was a born leader, one who others admired and wanted to follow, whether in work, community activities, or other endeavors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Bernice Pool, brothers Timothy and Jerry, and sister-in-law Sandra. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Beverly Mills Pool, daughter Tonja (Brad) Frederick, sons Troy (Michele), Shawn (Julie), and Shane (Rhonda), Eleven grandchildren, Kent, Justin, Taylor, Chase, Colton, Brady, Brynna, Bryson, Ryan, Mariah, and Logan, and two great grandchildren Marleigh and Kolbe, brother Deavell "Dee" (Carolyn) Pool. Also many adored nieces and nephews. Dirty will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was far more than husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was in his own way a Texas legend.
