Mr. Herschel Leroy Walley, age 71, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He was born on August 28, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to Mary Eloise Anderson and Leroy Walley.
In 1976, he married Linda Humphrey in Houston, Texas; they later divorced in 1982.
Herschel dedicated his professional life to the construction industry, ultimately serving as an estimator for Ref-Chem. His hard work and commitment left a lasting impact on colleagues and the projects he touched.
Herschel's life was filled with simple pleasures that brought joy to those around him. He had a passion for fishing and hunting, and he could often be found picking weeds out of the yard, a pastime that reflected his love for nature and the outdoors. Nothing delighted him more than hearing about the grandkids growing up, and he treasured every story and milestone shared.
He is survived by sons Kenneth Walley and Sarah Walley, James Walley and Becca Walley. His 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Eloise Love and father Leroy Walley.
Herschel's warm smile and gentle spirit will be deeply missed. Our hearts are heavy, but we find comfort in the memories we shared and the love he spread throughout his life.
