Herminia Munoz Arredondo, 97, passed away on July 21, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Born on April 25, 1927, in Charlotte, Texas, she was the daughter of Cecilio Munoz and Guadalupe Rodriguez. Herminia married Sylvester Uribe Arredondo, and together they built a loving family.
Herminia’s career was spent in the retail industry, where she worked as a Cashier and Door Greeter at K-Mart. Beyond her professional life, she was a woman of many talents. Her home radiated with love as she pursued her passions: art, painting, drawing, sewing, cooking, and baking. She lovingly repaired toys and stuffed animals for her children and tended to her garden for countless hours. Often, she could be found quietly contemplating life by her window.
Herminia cherished time spent with her children, sharing laughter and cracking jokes. She now joins her husband, Sylvester Uribe Arredondo, her parents, Cecilio Munoz and Guadalupe Rodriguez, her son, Rudolpho John Arredondo, her sisters, Maria Munoz Zuniga, Juanita Munoz Tijerina, and Irene Villages, her brothers, Antonio R. Munoz, Cecilio Munoz Jr., and Felix Munoz, her half-sister, Cresencia M. Gonzalez, her half-brother, Roger A. Munoz, and her grand-daughter, Genevieve Jimenez, in eternity. Her memory lives on through her younger brothers, Estevan Munoz and Paul Munoz, her half-brother, Juan Giliberto Munoz, her half-sisters, Beatrice M. Lozano, Alejandra M. Burdick, Petra M. Sambrano, Esther M. Calvillo, Margarita M. Luna, Velia M. Gonzalez, Ernestina M. Salazar, and Brenda M. Sanchez, as well as her surviving children: Jesse Joseph Arredondo, Rosalinda Griffin, Adela Munoz Arredondo Saucedo, Maria Estela Jimenez, Sylvester Arredondo Jr., and Elizabeth Ann Arredondo. Her memory lives on in her 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
