Hazel Ann Lavigne Stewart, 77, of Houston, Texas passed away January 9, 2022, in Houston, Texas. She was born on July 7, 1944, to John and Hazel Lavigne in Rosa, Louisiana.
She married Simon Stewart, they were married for 15 years.
Hazel was a Registration and Data Entry Specialist at Baylor College of Medicine for over 20 years. She was a faithful member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Channelview, Texas. On her free time, she enjoyed spending time reading her bible, visiting and talking with her loving family, traveling, shopping, excursions, watching game shows, solitaire and word search puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Hazel Lavigne; spouse, Simon Stewart; sisters Albertine Guillory, Ethel Fontenot, Veronica Tezeno and Verly Mae Mouton; brothers Joyceman Lavigne, Doris Lavigne, Charles Lavigne, Carroll Lavigne and Mariel Lavigne.
Viewing for Hazel will take place on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5102 Dabney St, Houston, Texas 77026. Funeral mass will begin at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, Texas 77015.
