Hazel Ellen Dill Reaves' Obituary
Hazel Ellen Dill was born in Carbon Hill, Walker County, Alabama on June 30, 1937, the last and eighth child of Gurley Petty Dill and Mary Magdalene Bradbury. She graduated from Ensley High School in Birmingham. Hazel has been a resident of Houston since her marriage in August 1955. In April 1977, she graduated as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and in September 1981 she became a Registered Nurse. In June 1987, she was licensed as a Nursing Home (Facility) Administrator. Hazel enjoyed a long and fulfilling career taking care of others. She loved to be outside and taking care of her yard. She loved Johnny Mathis and was a lifelong member of his fan club.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Marsteller, son Charles Reaves, Jr. and his wife Irini; grandchildren Ronnie, Shawna, Kendra, Justin, Kevin, and Sofia; numerous great grandchildren, nieces Kay and Sherri and many others.
