Mr. Harold Eugene Potter's Obituary
HAROLD EUGENE POTTER, died at the age of 86 late on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009 in East Houston Regional Medical Hospital after a short battle with cancer. He was born on June 14, 1922, in Grand Island, Nebraska but moved to the North Shore area 57 years ago. His wife of 49 years, Josephine Potter, preceded him in death in 2002. He is survived by his loving daughter Helen and her husband Charles Boudreaux of Deer Park, grandson Bret Boudreaux and wife Melissa of Baytown, grandson Blake Boudreaux of College Station, and granddaughter Brooke Boudreaux of Deer Park. If you ever had a conversation with Harold, you would know what a proud parent and grandparent he truly was. His family was the love of his life! Harold was extremely proud to have been born on Flag Day and served his country well. He honorably served in the United States Army during World War II and in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was an active member of the American Legion for many years as well as the Masonic Lodge. Harold was an Architectural Draftsman by profession, a founding member of Holy Trinity United Methodist Church and recently active in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. He was a wonderful Christian man with a kind and gentle soul who never met a stranger. The family wishes to thank all of the loving friends who have supported Harold throughout his lifetime.
