Mrs. Grace Ann Crawford's Obituary
Grace Ann Crawford came into this world on December 17, 1937, in Medina County, Texas, to parents Gus Virgle Blackstock and Mary Florence Lothringer Blackstock. After 80 years of blessing her family and friends Grace was called to heaven and passed away on April 13, 2018, in Highlands, Texas.
Grace loved her family first and foremost and taught us all the value of family. She had the ability to make each and every member of her family feel equally important and immensely valued. She was more than a sister to her siblings, she was the “little mama”. To her children she was a constant example of unconditional love and an inner strength that could be felt in even the most difficult of times. She was beautiful (some would say glamorous) and she loved to dress herself and everyone else up to look their best.
Grace is preceded in death by her father Gus Blackstock, her mother Mary Florence Blackstock, her first husband Robert E. Knowles, and her second husband Wayne G. Crawford, her grandson Aron Dousay, her brother Sonny Blackstock, and sister Judy Henthorn. She is survived by her loving family including: her son Buddy Knowles and wife Sandy, daughter Lillie Marshall and husband Doug, daughter Cathy Dousay and husband Bobby, and her daughter Cindy Cullinane and husband Dennis. Grandchildren Kelly Knowles, Lindsey Cook, Marlo Hanks, Michael Heath, Andrew Dousay, Taylor Cullinane and Emily Dousay. Great grandchildren, Madison, Sam, Lillian, Lincoln and Campbell. Siblings Elizabeth Melton, Bernie Blackstock, Lloyd Blackstock, Clarence Blackstock, Sally Bice, Virgie Dreher, Elsie Hathorn, and Ruth Bedford, and of course her beloved “Lil Bit”.
Grace’s family will be having a memorial service to honor her memory, services will be held on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home.
