Glenda Jean Gaddy's Obituary
Glenda Jean Gaddy, 53, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 in Channelview, Texas.
Jean, as everyone knew her, was born to Eugene Gaddy and Glenda Sue (Pritchett) Gaddy on August 15, 1962 in Pasadena, Texas. Jean graduated LaPorte High School and went on to earn her Associates of Business Administration. Jean served for several years as unit secretary and historian at the American Legion Unit Post 644 and currently was working at Post 644. Jean was known for her selfless acts of kindness and charitable contributions. She was fun, loving and stubborn at times but always with a great spirit. Jean enjoyed crafts, darts and zydeco blues music.
She will be dearly missed by all of those who loved her.
Jean is survived by her mother, Glenda Gaddy, sister, Rhonda Gaddy, daughter, Ashlie Roush and son-in-law, Billy Roush, grandsons, Tyler George, Dylan George, Preston George, granddaughters, Elizabeth Rousit, Quin George and Riley Jones, partner, Samantha Alexander and other loving family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home. Jean's celebration of life service will follow on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10:00 am at . Jean will be laid to rest following her service in Jacksonville City Cemetery in the Gaddy Family Plots.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests, with gratitude, donations made in Jean's name to the American Legion Post 644, 16417 Market St. Channelview, Texas 77530.
