Mrs. Gertrude P. Beaty's Obituary
Gertrude P. Beaty 78 went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2017 with her loved ones near by. A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 16, 2017 at Truth Baptist Church in Houston, TX. Gertrude was born July 25, 1938 in Dayton, TX to a father Anson C. Gibbs and mom Lilla Ruth Gibbs. Gertrude was a lady that lived for the moment. Her passion for life and others was amazing. She loved being a mom to her son John. She always smiled when he called. She loved
traveling and making memories. She made every day count. She always made herself available to her sisters, family and friends. She was a big help to her neice Lilla by taking care of her son Daniel. She also loved all holidays. She was once asked why she has Thanksgiving decorations out in the summer and she replied "well I believe the Lord wants us to be thankful all year. Gertrude was an active member of North shore Baptist Church until she wasn't able to attend anymore. Every time pastor Payne or any Church members come by to see her she would light up like the 4th of July. It is comforting to know she was loved by many. Mrs Beaty is survived by her sister Melba June Ellis, one son John Thomas Beaty, his wife Linda Beaty, 1 granddaughter Jessica Beaty Clakin, husband Chris Clarkin, 1 great grandson Elijah Clarkin and lots of neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mom Lilla Ruth Gibbs, dad Anson C. Gibbs, Husband Marion Beaty, sisters Jeannette McAdams and Nora Catalina
