Mr. Gerald Boyd Carter's Obituary
Gerald Boyd Carter, 91, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather entered into rest on Saturday, May 24, 2008 in Houston. He was born in Walker County, Texas on January 22. He is preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and his grandson, Bobby Duane Carter.
Mr. Carter will be missed dearly by his wife of 69 years, Verda Nell; children Wronell B. Carter and wife Sherrill, Charlie B. Carter and wife Betty, and Elizabeth I. Medina and husband Edward; grandchildren, Melanie Moore, Kimberly Carranza, Ronald Medina; five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends. He retired after 30 plus years of service to Hughes Tool Company. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in the chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Plunk officiating. Burial was in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
