I met Gary when he came through the hospital as a Nursing student. He was so amazing! So when he returned to the hospital and wanted to work with us we felt blessed. So positive, so kind, just an absolutely amazing person. The kind of person that makes you want to be a better person. So of course when I learned of his diagnosis I was stunned. Selfishly, I thought God can't take this amazing person to heaven we need more people like him here. When he spoke of his diagnosis he told me it was okay that now that he wasn't working he would be able to do more good. WOW! What an amazing person! Remembering you today and always. Thank you for all the gifts you gave all of us with your kindness. A hero in many ways.
My sincerest condolences to the entire Morey family for your loss. Even as a young man, Gary was well loved and respected by all who were fortunate to know him. Gary and I lost contact over the years, but I always remembered Gary for his kindness, comp[assion, and boundless energy! GOD has brought him home now. May his memory live in our hearts forever.

I met Gary when he was a four degree (freshman) at the Air Force Academy in 1982. The was the beginning of a long friendship. He was a man of character, action and conviction as many have noted. However, let us not forget what Gary himself would and did say. He was going to Heaven, not because he was a "good guy", but because he realized 1. Like all of us, he was not perfect and needed forgiveness 2. He sincerely asked Jesus Christ to take away his sins and be his Savior and Lord. If we can trust what Jesus told us (and I believe we can). Gary is with Him in Heaven right now. We miss you Gary! Daryl
I met Gary in the first grade, from that day until Feb. 21 he was a person of high morals and great character. Always , Gary was the one smiling, laughing and steady. Mine and Sherry's prayers are lifted up on the Morey families behalf. See you later old friend, as goodd as you were here on earth you are so very much better with your savior
Last time I saw Gary he was off to the military he always knew where he was going in his carrer and in his spiritual walk. As teenagers we would go running in the evenings,he was much faster than me and he would go slower so I could keep up,Gary and his family lived a few doors down from my parents,always really nice people ,I am better for knowing him.

I am so shocked and saddened to have learned of Garys passing. I only saw him once since High School when he was on leave. He was such a great guy, kind, warm and funny. It touches my heart to read all the wonderful things about his faith, spirit, love of God, family and friends. It makes me smile to know he was still touching people, even in his passing, My thoughts and prayers to all his family and friends. I hope we will all see him again one day.

Gary showed incredible courage throughout this entire ordeal and yet somehow maintained his sense of humor. He would often come up with some of the cleverest jokes I've ever heard. Yet, Gary's faith was enormous, sometimes while trying to comfort him, I was the one who was ministered to. Even in his hour of pain, he continued to give and give. I was, am and forever will be grateful for Gary. I am a better person for having known him.
I am shaken to read of Gary's death. After reading the obituary and finding out what a fine person he became and how much good he did during his life I'm struck with the overwhelming thought that in his short lifetime he was and did more than many do in lifetimes twice as long. I know you were very proud of him and the path his life took. May God comfort you and help you through this most difficult time. Heaven is a better place to be and we'll all see Gary again when we get there. In the meantime let us learn from his courage and face each day with the optimism and faith that he demonstrated for us.
