Mr. Frank James Slaughter's Obituary
Frank James Slaughter, 66, was born on May 30, 1951 in Kansas City, Kansas and passed away on May 8, 2018 in Pasadena, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Marilyn Sue Slaughter and a host of other family members. He is survived by his daughters: Stephanie Sperr (Micheal Sperr), and Christie Short (Orande' Anderson), his grandchildren Denea' Anderson, Kylee Anderson, and Orande Anderson Jr., as well as his Brothers Charlie Slaughter (LuEllen Slaughter) and Mike Slaughter and a sister Mary McGinnis along with numerous other family members and friends.
Frank was an accomplished, award winning business man in the oil industry focusing on fabrics and fibers and an invaluable wealth of knowledge and acting mentor to many. However, he was also a compassionate, funny, caring co-worker who took some under his wing and also had respect for those who managed him. Many did not know he was an Amoco Prism award winner, carried 3 masters degrees in various types of engineering and was a Six Sigma Master in lean manufacturing. In his later years he was an excellent resource for supply chain management, and even contributed to publications on the subject and consulted with other firms to improve their own productivity.
As a father, grandfather and friend, his family could not ask for a more loving, giving, warm, devoted, accepting and caring person to have in their life. He loved his family and his work. He shared so much about how proud he was of his family, his business friends who had never even met his family, especially his girls felt like they knew them intimately. He was a great story teller who could give so much detail it felt like you were with him, in the story. Frank was a very special family man, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and coworker who will be missed terribly. The world lost a beautiful spirit, but knowing he is in heaven with his wife and loved ones who have gone before him gives the family peace that heaven gained it's own beautiful spirit in Frank.
