Floye "Tojo" Edward Lewing Jr.'s Obituary
Floye Edward Lewing Jr. was born December 6, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Floye and Lottie Lewing. He passed away July 24, 2024 at the age of 70 in his home located in Willis, TX.
Floye, as we all know as “ToJo”, is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Patricia Lewing (Pat). His daughter Theresa Brooks and granddaughters, Kristin Dubberstein and Kari Riddle. His son and daughter-n-law Darrel and Janelle Lewing, granddaughter Adrienne Lewing. Son Robert Fulton and grandchildren Star Pennington and Wyatt Fulton and son Johnny Lewing.
Tojo has six great grand kids; Lacey, Laikynn, Owen, Elizabeth, Grayson and Ryder.
Tojo worked over 40 years as a welder, fabricator and supervisor. Twenty-five plus years at Hutchinson & Hayes and the last eleven at G-Tech. He was the first to arrive and the last to leave. His work was his passion. His co-workers and bosses were his family.
Tojo’s family was above all the most important part of his life. He came from a family of nine siblings (Roger, Nell, Kathy, Ronnie and Donnie, Jaime, Dannette and Danny), to having his own. He loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids dearly. He looked forward to the baseball games, birthday parties and holidays. He was a man that always had to go, go, go… His saying is, “You know me, I’ve got to Go”!
Tojo touched many lives throughout his life. He was kind, gentle, caring and very giving.
Tojo, simply put, is a “GOOD MAN”.
