Eugene Ross, age 68, passed away on October 19, 2024, in Wills Point, Texas. Born on May 20, 1956, in Houston, Texas where he raised his family and was a very well-known member of the community.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sherry Ross.
Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Tonya Ross; his children, Wesley and Dia Ross, Derek and Chrissy Ross, Stacy Ross and Branda Turner; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pleasant, Tanner Ross, Mackenzie Ross, Madison Ross, Ryan Ross, and Hazel Ross; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Pleasant, Greyson Pleasant, and Kane Pleasant; Mother-in-law, Sylvia Beck, Father-in-law, Dennis Berlin, and numerous family members and friends.
Eugene was a man of vibrant personality, known for his outgoing nature, fun-loving spirit, and his god given talent as a jokester. He was a native to the North Shore area of Houston and left an impact on the community through his countless hours volunteering his time coaching baseball, supporting the community and helping friends in any way possible. Baseball was a passion that he passed down to his kids and will continue for all generations that follow. He was a hardworking man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His life was a testament to his dedication to his family and his passions. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed Deer hunting most of all, sharing many nights around the campfire with family and friends. In his younger years, he was a very talented race car driver and once won 25 straight races in one season, a record that may still hold to this day. All who knew him knew he held his friends closely and his family even closer. Let us remember Eugene for all the laughs he brought us and the good times we had.
