Esperanza Cepeda's Obituary
Esperanza Cepeda, born on September 19, 1949, passed away on November 6, 2024. She was born in Matamoros, Mexico, to Isidoro Cepeda and Esperanza Barrera. Esperanza lived a full life surrounded by family, friends, love, and compassion. She was known as the “heartbeat of every event” and “the salt and pepper” of gatherings. Her strength, passion, and love for everyone she met made her truly special; she had a remarkable ability to solve problems with her helping spirit.
Esperanza was admired by all and knew no strangers. Her warm charisma made her welcoming, and she was quick with compliments. She raised three children on her own while attending medical school, pouring her energy and love into every moment. Each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren felt like her favorite. She was kind-hearted, saintly, and selfless, truly deserving of her nickname “Ms. Hope.”
Fondly remembered as “La Mucura” by those who keep her memory close—her family, lifelong friends, and those she impacted—her legacy lives on through her children Ada, Eliud, and Cesar, as well as her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services in her memory will be held on November 15th, from 5PM-8PM with her funeral service held on the 16th at 11:00AM at the San Jacinto Funeral Home Chapel.
