Eneldia Berlanga, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, in Humble, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Born to Guadalupe and Teresa Garcia on August 18, 1947, in Harlingen, Texas, Eneldia lived a life full of love, creativity, and dedication. Gilberto Berlanga, age 74, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Born to Jose and Maria de Jesus Berlanga on April 16, 1938, in Mexico, Gilberto lived a life full of love.
Eneldia had a passion for knitting and sewing, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her family for generations. Her green thumb was evident in her vibrant garden; with her favorite flower being gardenias. The colors aqua, turquoise, and teal brought her joy and reflected her vibrant spirit.
Eneldia and Gilberto are survived by their devoted children: Eneldia Berlanga-Thames, Veronica Murillo and her husband Victor Murillo, Alma Rodriguez and her husband Pete Rodriguez, Gilberto Berlanga Jr., Nazaret Berlanga, and Maria Palacios. Their legacy continues through their 11 grandchildren: Peter, Virginia, Adrian, Eric, Shara, Rey III, Allysa, Anthony, Jessie, Nicholas, Abram, and Moses, and their 5 great-grandchildren: Evelynn, Galilea, Mila, Natalia, and Vincent.
Eneldia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gilberto Berlanga, and her parents, Guadalupe and Teresa Garcia, her brother and her three sisters. Her family and friends will forever hold her memory in their hearts, remembering her as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Gilberto was preceded in death by his parents Jose Berlanga and Maria de Jesus Berlanga.
Eneldia and Gilberto are now reunited in heaven.
Eneldia's warmth, kindness, and creativity touched the lives of all who knew her. They will be dearly missed, but their spirits will live on in the hearts of their family and friends.
