Enedina "Nena" Carranza's Obituary
Enedina Cardenas Carranza, 93, went to be with the Lord on Thursday the 12th of March, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 10,1926 in Allende Coahuila, Mexico to the parents of Marcelino and Enedina (Cordova) Carranza. She was one of nine children and the last to pass.
On January 4,1953 she married Henry Carranza Gonzalez They had four sons Jose “Joe”, Enrique “Henry”, Filiberto “Beto”, and Santiago “Jim”.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Henry of 52 years and her son Enrique Carranza. She is survived by her sons, Joe Carranza, Beto Carranza and his spouse Suzanne, Jim Carranza and his spouse Kimberly, and daughter in law Walli Carranza. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and many more nieces and nephews.
Enedina was a loving wife, mother and meemaw as she was known to her family. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends. Her door as well as her kitchen was always open. Enedina was a devout Catholic and prayed daily for her family and friends.
Meemaw will be missed by her family and all those blessed to have known her.
A visitation will be held from 5pm-8pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home 14659 East Freeway Houston TX 77015. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday March 18, 2020 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1705 8th St, Galena Park, TX 77547. A Graveside service will begin at 1:30 pm at San Jacinto Memorial Park, Houston, Texas.
