Elmer Chess' Obituary
Elmer Chess, (89) of
Kingwood, Texas passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 in Humble, Texas. Elmer was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, on September 8, 1929 to Felix Chess and Mary Mazur. He married Sabina Claire Chess.
Elmer retired from being a pipe threader from Cyclops Steel Mill, in Sharon, PA, in the early 80’s and then moved to Houston to be with his three children. He had the opportunity of working as a Security Guard for Murray Oil for several years until he needed to become full-time caretaker for his wife, Sabina. He is preceded in death by his wife Sabina Chess and a son, Felix John Chess, nephew, Phillip Chess.
Elmer is survived by his daughter, Carol Lynne Chess of Kingwood, TX; son, Richard Chess and wife Janet of Spring, TX; three granddaughters, Amy Graham of Crosby, TX, Madison Chess of Spring, TX, and Remi Chess of Spring, TX; two great-grand children, Levi Graham and Hudson Graham both of Crosby, TX; one brother, Raymond Chess of Westminister, CA; two nieces, Tracy Wallis of CA, and Laura Honig of Newport Beach, CA.
Family will receive other loving relatives and friends at San Jacinto Funeral Home 14659 I-10 East Freeway, Houston, Texas 77015 on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 9:30 AM with a Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
