Eleazar Aguirre's Obituary
It is with profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved Eleazar “Alex” Aguirre. He passed away on Sunday, November 13th, 2022, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones. Eleazar was born on December 7th, 1958, to Alberto & Delia Aguirre.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alberto Aguirre, father-in-law Joe Luna & mother-in-law Gloria Luna. Eleazar is survived by his loving wife Elva Luna Aguirre, sons Eleazar Aguirre Jr. (Magaly), Louis (Julie) Aguirre, Robert (Araceli) Aguirre, Jaime Limas, and daughter Krystal Aguirre; grandchildren Kalynn, Rhianna, Rachel, Eli, Emily, and Daisy; siblings Richard (Josie), Eudelia (Ezekiel), Mario (Nora), Esther (Jose), Anatalia (Steven), & Mercedes (Jaime); Brother-in-law Joe Luna (Connie), sister-in-law Rosemary, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.
From an early age, Eleazar’s mother noticed he had a passion for music when she saw him use his bottle for a guitar at the age of 2 years. At an early age, he began working at his dad’s gas station saving money to buy his musical instruments and his love for muscle cars. His love for music followed him throughout his entire life and into his family. Early in his life he chose to accept Jesus Christ as his savior and was saved and baptized at Bethania A/G Church. At the age of 16, he joined the Christian band Los Discipulos playing the trumpet (he was self-taught). Later in his life, it was discovered he played the electric guitar which he continued all through his life serving in the worship teams in the church. His favorite guitar to play was the Sunburst Les Paul guitar, which he treasured for many years.
Eleazar married the love of his life, Elva Luna, on November 4th, 1980 and had 4 beautiful children. His 4 children shared his love for music and joined him playing in church and formed their family band with his own children, “I Am”. Over the years, the family grew very close to his nephew, Jaime Limas and adopted him as their “5th” child in their hearts. Throughout his life, he also was a member of the band Decision, he formed a family band Vida Eterna, and joined Crossroads Fellowship worship team.
Friends and family members remember Eleazar as someone who was a man of honesty, integrity, noble, a peacemaker, compassionate, comedian, and a mentor to countless musicians. He had a love for music and muscle cars, but also found joy in gardening, home remodeling, carpentry, being an auto mechanic, and grooming his pet dogs Arthur and Elvis. He would care for stray cats and even a bunny. But one of Eleazar’s favorite times was when he was with his grandkids and family, being silly and loving.
Eleazar’s memory will be in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He left his mark everywhere he went and touched countless lives with his humor and love for Christ. Eleazar fought the good fight, finished his race, and is now resting in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
