Edward Joseph Tucker's Obituary
Edward J. Tucker, Jr., age 74, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on July 7, 2026.
Edward was born on October 7, 1951, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, to Sheila and Edward Tucker. He was raised in Massachusetts and carried with him throughout his life a deep sense of family, patriotism, and dedication to those he loved.
On June 12, 1996, Edward married the love of his life, Jennifer Angles, in Burlington, Massachusetts. Together they shared many happy years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Ranger, an elite soldier trained in specialized combat and joint forcible entry operations. His military service was a source of great pride and reflected his courageous and selfless character.
Following his military service, Edward worked as a concrete mixer truck driver for 18 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to providing for his family.
Edward was an active member of several organizations, including the Elks, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Legion, and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed spending time watching football and baseball, playing pool, and sharing good times with friends and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Tucker of Houston, Texas; his daughter, Patricia A. of Shawnee, Oklahoma; his son, Richard F. of Palm Bay, Florida; his brothers, Stephen Tucker of Melbourne, Florida, Richard Tucker of Melbourne, Florida, David Tucker of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, and Kenneth Tucker of Massachusetts. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sheila (Martin) Tucker.
Edward will be remembered for his love of family, his loyal friendships, his dedication to his country, and the many lives he touched throughout his years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him
