Edward Franklin Collins Jr.'s Obituary
Edward Franklin Collins Jr, passed away on January 26, 2025, in Kingwood, Texas. Born on August 31, 1947, in Caddo Parrish, Louisiana, Edward lived a life filled with love and adventure.
He had a passion for riding his Harleys, a joy that he shared with many of us and that brought him countless happy moments. As a proud member of The Woodlands HOG Chapter, he found a community that shared his love for motorcycles and the open road.
Edward served in the Army, dedicating his early years to serving our country. After his service, he built a fulfilling career as a construction foreman for Brown and Root, where his hard work and dedication were evident to all who worked with him.
He is survived by his son, David Travis Collins; his caring sisters, Sandra Glenn, Donna Rodgers, and Kathy Alston; and his brothers, Mike Burton, Randy Burton, and Ricky Burton. He was also blessed with numerous grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his son, Troy Collins. His Mother and Father Mary Bell Burton and Edward Collins.
Edward was the cherished son of Mary Bell Burton and Edward Collins, who instilled in him the values of hard work and family unity that he carried throughout his life.
We will forever remember Edward for his love of family and his passion for life. His legacy of love and dedication to family will live on in our hearts forever.
