Vladÿka Makarios
Edmond Morris Herring (Sr.) was born in Sulpher, Oklahoma on 28 October 1926 to L. Mamie (nee: Morris) Herring and Edmond Belcher "Jack" Herring. He graduated from high school in San Angelo, Texas. After a tour in the U.S. Merchant Marines as a Mess Supervisor, he married his high school sweetheart Miss Roy Jean Bond on 3 March 1947. The relationship was annuled in June of 1947. He then attended Abilene Christian College in Abilene Texas. His parents moved to Big Spring, Texas where his Father died on 23 February 1949 from complications due to emphysema which he suffered resulting from an industrial accident in a cement plant early in the 1920's. In October of 1949 he married Anita Montell (nee: Mason), daughter of Big Spring pioneer, Mrs. Ellie Exa (nee: Hooper) Mason. In 1950 in late July a son was born to the couple.
Morris was employed by Armour-Swift Packing Co as a salesman. He quickly became a new route opener and was stationed in Pasadena, Texas. In 1953, again he was stationed in Big Spring when early in May of 1954 his second son was born. Then on to Abilene in 1954 where he was kitchen manager for Abilene Christian College.
Again he moved his family to open routes around Odessa, Texas, extending into New Mexico in 1955. In 1957 Morris opened "Mac's Grocery & Market" in Odessa, Texas and expanded to owning eventually six locations. His business was sold in 1964. He was then employed by the Pittsburg Saw Co. who supplied saw blades and butcher knives to butcher shops through out Texas, Louisana, Georgia and Florida. He was dismissed in 1965 owing to the company policy of not hiring nor retaining divorced employees. His second wife, Anita had received a divorce decree in October of 1965. Morris moved to Dallas, where he was employed by Cudahy Packing Co. Soon thereafter he was transferred to Wichita Falls, Texas where he married his third wife, Dorothy Jean (nee: Drummond) Bosselman. Cudahy soon promoted Morris to head the Houston Office where he moved. In 1972 a daughter, Angelina Michell was born. In the ensuing years before his "retirement" he was hired by three or four independant meat jobbers through which Morris served the same +/- 50 clients including several grocery chains in Houston.
For many years Morris and Dorothy, with assistance from Angel operated a very profitable resale booth concurrently with a western belt booth at a local weekend market.
In his 1980's Morris worked in Sam's Club as a jewelry salesman and finally as a Greeter.
Morris was proceeded in death by his Father, Edmond Belcher "Jack" Herring in 1949, Mother, L. Mamie (new: Morris) Herring Nevans in 1992, his younger brother Col. Kenneth Guynn Herring, U.S. Army, ret. in 1998 and his wife Dorothy in 2009.

Sister-in-Law Estelle (nee: Stanley) Herring, R.N., her daughter Elaine and son, Lauren of San Angelo, Texas;
sons H.B. Met-Abp. Makarios, UAOChurch-Outside Ukraina, Houston,
Dr. LeMác Guynn Herring Morris, D.V.M. Davis, Oklahoma; Step-son, Michael Bosselman, Certified Contractor in California with projects also in Nevada, and daughter, Miss Angelina Michell Herring, Primary School Teacher in Houston, Texas.
