Edgar Leo Weaver, 84, of Houston, Texas, passed away on April 16, 2026, in Cleveland, Texas.
Edgar was born on July 25, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to James and Gladys Weaver. He dedicated much of his life to his work as a wrecker driver, a profession he proudly carried out for 60 years.
Edgar had a deep love for life and enjoyed many hobbies. He was especially passionate about racing, painting, building, and working on cars. He also loved animals, watching Western movies, and football.
He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Stalsby and her husband James; Regina Purcell (†) and son-in-law Larry Purcell and his current wife, Jessie Purcell.; Karen Jacobson and her husband Michael; and his son, Kenneth Weaver.
Edgar leaves behind a large and loving family, including 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. His grandchildren include Trent and Mariah, Nicky, Sabrina and Greg, BreAnna and Jerry, DeAnna and Chris, Amanda and Brad, Brandon and Chloe, and Brent.
His great-grandchildren include Aiden, Silas, Alston, Melanie, Jerry, Carolina, Kendall, Louis IV, Kason, Janie, Diesel, Gannon, Molly, Emerson, and baby Purcell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys Weaver; his brothers, Theodore Gilbert Weaver and James Weaver; his sister, Mary Scarbrough; and his daughter, Regina Purcell.
Edgar will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for his family, and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
