Mr. Edelmiro "Eddie" Leal Jr.'s Obituary
Edelmiro “Eddie” Leal Jr., 58, of Houston Texas passed away December 29, 2017. He was born in Berwyn, Illinois on April 6, 1959. In 1974 the family relocated to Houston, Texas were Eddie attended North Shore High School, where his extracurricular activities included playing soccer and agitating his teachers as the Class Clown. Shortly after High School, he began his career with the Pennzoil Company where he remained for 37 years until he retired in 2015.
His greatest joys in life were his children and grandchild. He never missed an opportunity to spend quality time with them and was always there to entertain them, attend school events and share other special moments. He loved all types of motorsports, NASCAR being his favorite. He watched every race on TV and attended several races in person at the track. Eddie’s life would seem too short to many, but those touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Family and friends will miss Eddie dearly.
He is preceded in death by his sister; Yolanda Leal. Eddie is survived by his children; Adam Leal and wife Kara and grandson Cooper, daughter, Alyssa Leal; stepdaughter, Amy Martin; parents Edelmiro Sr. and Guadalupe Leal; sister Norma Drozd and husband John, and sister Ana Leal Derryberry and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and other family members and friends.
