Eddie Andrew "Poncho" Damon's Obituary
On Monday, March 22nd, 2021 at age 72 Eddie Andrew Damon (affectionately known to friends and family as Poncho) joined his mother Virginia Van Epp his Father Eddie Damon, his sister and brother Donna and Patrick Damon, son Jeffrey Damon, and grandson Brandon Parker in the Kingdom of Heaven. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Veronica Damon as well as his daughters Stephanie Miller, Tricia Parks, Josephine Carden, Jessica Lara and son Bryan Damon. He is also survived by 14 beautiful grandchildren and 2 adorable great-grandchildren. Poncho spent 47 years working for the ILA local 24 as a longshoreman, dock crane and Paceco operator and he loved his time there as well as the friends he made along the way. When he wasn't working he was a skilled and avid fisherman who enjoyed offshore boat trips and catching giant brag worthy fish that most people only see in photos or hear about. If he wasn't fishing he could possibly be found deer hunting and even capturing rattlesnakes with his best friends. Poncho lived a larger than life life that will be remembered by us all with a good belly laugh when we reminisce about our times with him. Anyone lucky enough to have known him can attest to the fact that he possessed an infectious laugh, quick and witty sarcastic remarks and always had a joke to tell that was guaranteed to make you laugh until you cry. He may be making folks in Heaven laugh now, but he will never be forgotten by those lucky enough to have known him here.
