Mrs. Dorthea Virginia Boston's Obituary
Born to Byron and Maudes Moore on January 12, 1918, Bay city, Texas. Both parents adored her indeed. She excelled in everything she did and in everything she touched. Virginia, renamed by her grandchildren as "Mamoo", has left a legacy of faith and hope. Virginia (Mamoo) passed away quickly, peacefully ad pain free on December 7, 2009 with her daughter, Barbara, granddaughter, Terri and son-in-law James (also her loving Doctor) by her side. Virginia is pre-deceased by her husband David F. Boston Sr. and her dear son, David F. Boston Jr. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Boston Parker (Orlando. FL), grandchildren; Cary Lynn Sims (Bellville, TX), Joni Lee Boston (Bellville, TX), Terri Lynn Urbina (Texarkana, TX), Michael Wayne Boston (Pasadena, TX), and Julie Rennee Boston (Dallas, TX), great grandchildren; Jacke Sims (Bellville, TX), Molly Sims (Bellville, TX), Emily Sims (Bellville, TX), Laraina Crabb (Edna, TX), Isabelle Urbina (Denton, TX), and Lindsey Crabb (Edna, TX), great great grandchildren; Taylor Raye Sims (Bellville, TX) and Kyle Cutler Whisnant-Sims (Bellville, TX) and son-in-laws; Richard Sims (Bellville, TX) and Dr. James H. Urbina M.D. (Texarkana, TX). Virginia's contributions to this world are far too many to mention. Her years of church work, pianist and organist, youth work, wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, cook, friend, will never by forgotten-BUT- her biggest contribution was keeping her family together. She was indeed all about family. Each of you has your own memories and remembrances of her. She loved each of you dearly and truly prayed for you. In her later years, when she could not go and do anymore she became a committed and passionate prayer warrior. Her last 20 years were not so emotionally and physically rewarding but she tried, she tried very hard. In the end she simply gave it all up to the Lord and peace came. I truly believe God gave her a large measure of grace to endure her afflictions. Today is not a sympathy card; it is a day of joy, release, calmness and peace everlasting. She wanted each of you to understand that Jesus is the real thing. Heaven is the real thing. Life everlasting is the real thing. It is just not rocket science, as she would say, it is simply trust. Virginia (Mamoo) knew it and believed it.
