Dorothy Ann Wick's Obituary
Dorothy Ann Wick, 80, of Houston, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2025. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, February 18 from 11am-1pm at San Jacinto Memorial Funeral Home, with funeral services beginning at 1pm, immediately after the visitation. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Cemetery.
Born on March 22, 1944, the daughter of Owen (Mac) and Dorothy (Jestine) McDonald, Dorothy was the oldest of 3 daughters. Her love for God and family was her greatest passion. Her 2nd greatest passion was her love for shoes & shopping. She also loved her weekly beauty shop appointments and spoiling her grandchildren. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone. Dorothy was a lifelong member of Jacinto City United Methodist Church and looked forward to having lunch with all her special friends. She graduated from Galena Park High School in 1962. In 2015, Dorothy retired from Coastal Casting Service after 36 years. She was a loving wife, dedicated mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, cherished sister and friend.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Owen & Jestine McDonald; sister, Janet Bruner; step-daughter, Cheri Byrd; and baby brother, Larry Owen McDonald.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Wick; daughters, Kelly Sewell & husband Kevin, Kristy Mulkey & husband Lance, step-daughter, Jacqlyn Perla & husband Angel; sister, Sharon Edwards & husband Mike; grandchildren, Chris Sewell, Kody Thompson, Kourtney Snow, Kyle Sewell, Shelbie Rainer, Franki Lerma, Michael Wick, James Byrd, Jason Byrd, Eric (Anthony) Berrios, Alexis Berrios, Anna Perla and Daniel Perla; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Kody Thompson, Kolton Turpin, Brandon Sturtz, Adam Rainer, Chris Sewell, Kyle Sewell, Aaron Silva, Aidan Silva and Michael Wick.
Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Sewell, Lance Mulkey, James Bruner, Adrian Silva, Robert Eichenour and Daniel Eichenour.
