Dorothy Violet Stockton's Obituary
Dorothy Violet Stockton, age 84, of Channelview, Texas, passed away peacefully at Heights of North Houston Assisted Living Facility on June 21, 2020.
Dorothy was born April 19, 1936 in Baytown, Texas and grew up in Tarkington in addition to Cut and Shoot.
She married the love of her life, Harold Sonny Stockton in 1959. The couple settled in Channelview where they raised two children.
Dorothy was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked for Channelview Independent School District for many years before retiring.
Dorothy was a devoted and loving mother and she was very proud to become a ‘Grand ma-ma’ to her 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She loved holidays, Betty Boop, her dogs, and especially the color red. She was known for her sultry nature and good sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death is her mother Dorothy Madie Miller, her father William Kenneway Gourlay, and her son William Thomas ( Tommy ) Wiggins.
She is survived by Harold Sonny Stockton, daughter Sharron Wiggins Larson, six grandchildren Charity, Gary, Ashley, Dylan, Nathan and Cody, as well as six great grandchildren Tayler, Alyson, Seth, Layne, Mackenzie, and Keegan.
Family and friends will gather at the San Jacinto Funeral Home on Saturday, June 27, 2020 beginning at 2:00pm to pay their respects and say farewell to Dorothy.
