Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Bishop's Obituary
Dorothy "Dot" Bishop, 84, of Houston, Texas was born on July 17, 1934 in Calvert, Texas, to parents Russell and Peg Prichard, and she went home to be with her Lord on August 1, 2018 in Houston, Texas.
Dot was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and homemaker, and a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as being a loving aunt. She worked outside the home as a nurse and a realtor until she retired in 1995, after 30 years of service, and then, in retirement, she was involved with her family and friends, her art, and simply enjoying life.
Dot was a member of the Lyons and Majestic Church of Christ and then the Channelview Church of Christ.
Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Peg Prichard, and her husband of 43 years, Bobby Dean Bishop. She is survived by her daughters Cindy Kimmel, and her husband David of Houston, and Bobbie Puckett and her husband James, of Houston; her sister Maebeth South, of Houston; as well as grandchildren Charity Muzny, Alan Muzny, Rusty Heitmann and wife Christie, and Laura Ramirez and husband David, step-grandchildren Julie Gann and husband Gary, and Laurie Lambert; and 13 great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren; two great great step-grandchildren and one who is on the way; niece Christy South Perkins, and nephew Troy South; and many cousins.
