Dennis Lee Wolfford Sr. of Houston, Tx was born September 6th 1936 passed away Monday January 8th, 2018 after a short illness. Born in Orange, Texas he raised his family and lived in Houston, Tx.
Dennis was a man that lived life to the fullest. He loved his family with a passion and lead them on adventures for 64 years. He coached baseball with Dennis Jr. from little league through High School. He also coached grandsons Dennis, Wesley, Matt and Derek. He stayed in touch with many of his players through out the years. He never forgot them. They were always part of his family. He loved Race Car driving. His enthusiasm of the sport spread to Dennis Jr, his son in law Eugene Ross and grandsons Wesley and Derek. His wife Norma, Daughter Sherry and daughter in law Renee and the grandchildren were the cheerleaders. Anyone that new Dennis became his cheerleaders for life.
Dennis was a self made man that came from humble beginnings. He met his wife Norma in Aransas Pass when he was 17 yrs old and Norma was 15 yrs old. He was working on a shrimp boat at the time. 2 months later they were married and a new adventure started for him but this time he had Norma to go on the adventure of life side by side.
His family was what he woke up every morning for. His love and adoration of Norma after 64 years never waivered. She was still his beautiful bride. Anyone that has seen them together felt the love between them that most dream about. Life was full of adventures for them. The adventures never stopped. He's on an adventure we can't go on this time but one we will follow someday.
Dennis was extremely proud of his family. Dennis and Norma started a family together that began with Dennis Lee Jr. then Sherry Jean followed by Kathy Lynn, Kimberly Kay and Jenny Elizabeth. Dennis Jr and Sherry Jean now have Dennis in Heaven with them.
