Mr. David Paul White's Obituary
David Paul White, 56, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008 in Pineville, LA. following a lengthy illness. A native Houstonian, he had been a long time resident of Natchitoches, LA. In 1969 at the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Army. In Fort Benning, GA. he completed is basic training and received his GED. David was assigned to the Airborne Infantry. He completed two Viet Nam tours with the Airborne and was honorably discharged in 1973. Mr. White was preceded in death by his brother John Claborn White and a sister, Mary Elizabeth White. Survivors include his parents Claborn Paul White and Mary Mosely White; children John Paul White and wife Angie, Travis Earl White, and Mary Preston and husband Brad; grandchildren Taylor Nicole Preston and 2 step-grandchildren; sisters Cynthia Lartigue, Rebecca Bellard, Susan Cotton and husband Beau, Laura Williams and husband Tony, and Donna Bone and husband Tommy. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Johnny McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
