Cherry Lundeberg Tijerina's Obituary
Cherry Denise Tijerina, 53, of Dayton, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at 5:07 a.m. in palliative care at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Cherry was born April 2, 1970, in New Orleans, Louisianna and moved to Houston, Texas as a young girl; She was raised by her loving parents, Kaia and Ray Daniels. After finishing school, Cherry went on to pursue and complete course work for her CNA, phlebotomy and to be a medical assistant. Cherry had a very successful career working in various medical and nursing fields. Outside of her career, Cherry devoted unlimited time to her husband, children, grandchildren, and all those she called family and friends. Cherry was also very strong in her faith and pursued service to her church community. We cannot leave out, she was a wild one and never backed down from loving and protecting the causes and people she believed in; her strength was unparalleled.
Cherry was preceded in death by her grandparents: Harold & Elsie, her mother: Kaia, her uncles: Joe Raymond, Harold, & Anton, her aunts: Elaine, Leatrice, & Marlene, and her grandson: Bentley.
Cherry is survived by her husband, Al, her children: Dorothy & Kenny, Jon & Erika, Sabrina, Deseree, Leslie, Samantha & Matthew, Loren, Christopher, & little Jon, her 19 grandchildren, her brothers: Rusty & Paul, her father and his wife: Ray & Sonia Daniels, as well as her cousin Shannon & her family, and countless other family members.
Cherry has lived a life well-loved.
