Mr. Charlie Brook Hill's Obituary
Mr. Charlie Brook Hill passed away at 89 years of age on October 27, 2016 at Courtyard Nursing Home in Houston, Texas. Charlie was born July 6, 1927 in Linden, Alabama to the late Milton Hill and Lula Hill.
Charlie accepted Christ at an early age. Charlie served in the Korean War, where he served our Country proudly. Charlie worked at the Atlantic Pacific Dredging Company as a heavy equipment operator until he retired.
Charlie is preceded in death by his father: Milton Hill; mother: Lula Hill; sisters: Pat Hill and Sara Hill; brothers: Milton Hill, Jr., Thomas Hill and Elijah Hill.
Charlie will forever live in the hearts of his wife, friend and lifelong partner of 54 years, Verna Hill; daughter: Irma Smith; sister: Ella Lou Williams (Preston); brothers: Wiley Hill and Timothy Hill of Alabama, Norman Hill, James Hill of California: grandchildren: Blanche Tisino (Adrian), Vernon Crawford, Marvin Bridges, III, and Jamar Bridges; as well as a host of great grandchildren. nieces, nephew and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, with a service Celebrating Charlie's life at 12:00 pm, in the Chapel at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Mr. Hill will be laid to rest at Houston National Cemetery, following the service.
