Mr. Charles William Adams' Obituary
Mr. Charles William Adams, 85, was born on March 5, 1933 to the late Carroll Arthur and Evelyn Hope Adams in Mankato, Minnesota and passed away on March 29, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family in Houston, Texas.
Charles served in the United States Air Force in Korea. Charles belonged to the Jetero R/C Club of Humble, Texas. He loved fishing and shrimping in Galveston, Trinity and Matagorda Bay. He was an avid Houston Astros Fan and did not miss a game. He taught his children to be self sufficient and enjoyed movie night or family night playing board games or cards.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents: Carroll Arthur Adams and Evelyn Hope Larsen Adams; brothers: Robert Dale Adams, Kenneth Duane Adams and Stanley Arthur Adams; and sister: Hope Elizabeth Humplik.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Fay Marie Adams; children: Debra Kay Goddard, Alan Dale Adams, Patricia Diane Melton and Gordon James Adams; brother: James Dennis Adams; sister: Carol Fenske; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous friends from the Flying Club.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with funeral services on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Mr. Adams will be laid to rest following services in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
