Mrs. Charlene Finney's Obituary
Lizzie Charlene Finney was born in Teague, Texas, on October 12, 1932, and was called to heaven on May 5, 2017, in Houston, Texas. Charlene was a person who loved life and enjoyed all of life’s ups and downs, they were part of her journey in this world. She was a long time member of First Beltway Baptist Church beginning her membership in 1984, and a long time employee of Sheldon I.S.D. ending her career after 37 years of dedication.
Charlene is preceded in death by her husband J.P. Finney, her parents Clark Walthall and Annie Lucille Walthall, siblings Lester Ray Walthall, Etta Mae Buckner, Opal Fay Taylor, and James Walthall, and great-grandson Macklin Taylor Finney.
She is survived by her children James Paul Finney (Ramona Harris-Bernsen), and Pamela Weaver (Gary); grandchildren James Paul Finney Jr. (Carrie), Justin Finney (Crystal Ball), Brian Finney, Brianna Weaver Cadena(Steven), Rachel Weaver Gray(Joe), and Zachary Weaver; great-grandchildren: Dallas Peyton Finney, Jasper Finney, Jackson Finney, Connor Rowland, Brayton Gray, Kinsley Gray, Kadience Cadena , Zowie Cadena, Aunt Mary Barker, and numerous nieces , nephews, and extended family, along with a long list of dear friends.
Charlene will be missed by all who knew her… at this time Charlene’s family would like to thank everyone for the continued support during this difficult time…your thoughts and prayers are most appreciated.
Services for Charlene will take place on the grounds of San Jacinto Memorial Park and Funeral Home beginning with a visitation on Tuesday 05/09/2017 and Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday 05/10/2017.
