Carolyn Watkins Trent's Obituary
Carolyn Watkins Trent, 92, of Houston, Texas went to be with her Lord Jesus on January 9, 2023. She was born on February 8, 1930, to Nathan Napoleon Watkins and Etta Lee Cochran in Rosebud, Texas. She married Kenneth E. Trent on June 16, 1949, in Houston, Texas.
Carolyn enjoyed being a Pastor’s wife and volunteering for Second Baptist Church, Channelview, Texas. She volunteered for Vocational Guidance Services and Career and Recovery Resources where she received numerous awards for her hard work and dedication. She loved to spend her free time traveling and gardening. Her greatest joy was spending special moments with her loving family.
She leaves behind her loving daughters Nancy Trent Horton, and husband Ronnie Lee Horton of Dallas, Texas; Rebecca Trent Maxwell of Houston, Texas; brother Jerry Louis Watkins; grandchildren Rebecca Franke and her husband, Richard Franke, Jr; Rhonda Kaye Horton; Rachel-Anne Trent Horton Haas and husband Ryan Haas and great grandchildren, Rebecca Elizabeth Franke, Richard Franke, III, Lauren Elizabeth Hass, Michael Joseph Hass and Matthew Trent Hass
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years Kenneth E. Trent; sister Etta Sue Watkins; brothers Samuel Nathan Watkins, George Porter Watkins and Paul Lee Watkins; parents Nathan Napoleon Watkins and Etta Lee Watkins.
