Mr. Carlos P. "Sir G" "Homer" Guzman's Obituary
Carlos Padilla "Sir G." "Homer" Guzman, 59, was born on August 26, 1959 in Sugar Land, TX to parents Albert S. and Modesta Padilla Gusman and entered into rest on Thursday, February 7, 2019.
Carlos grew up attending Briscoe Elementary, Deady Jr. High, and Milby High School. After high school he earned his degree in instrumentation and began his career as a Instrument Operator in the oil-chemical plant. On October 11, 1980 Carlos and Norma were married at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Houston, TX. Carlos and his family were parishioners of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He will be remembered for being sweet, a comedian, and very caring person. He was very social and considered a mentor. In his spare time, Carlos loved fishing, basketball, and watching Houston sports teams, the then-Oilers, Texans, Astros, and Rockets.
Carlos is preceded in death by his mother, Modesta. He is survived by his loving wife Norma; sons, Albert and Carlos Jr.; daughter, Clarissa; father, Albert; grandsons, Gabriel, Michael, and Alexander; daughters-in-law, Dulce and Ariel; son-in-law, Salvatore; sister-in-law, Beatrice; bother-in-law, Marcus; and special friends, Emilio Guzman, Emilio Garcia, and Tony Martinez.
A visitation will be held at San Jacinto Funeral Home on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, with a rosary to be recited at 5:00pm. A visitation will also take place from 9:00am to 10:00am at San Jacinto Funeral Home on Monday, February 11, 2019 where we will process to St. Christopher Catholic Church for a 12:00pm Funeral Mass. A graveside service will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, TX
