Mr. Bruce Adolphus Reynolds' Obituary
Bruce Adolphus Reynolds, Age 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Channelview, Texas. He was born in Antigua on January 28, 1949. He was the third child and second son of Robert and Mabel Reynolds.
Bruce attended Princess Margaret School in Antigua where he made many friends. He also worked for LIAT Airlines. Bruce also played in a local band as a steel drum player. In his early adult life, Bruce moved overseas to New York. He later moved to Houston, Texas where he met his beautiful wife, Janet Reynolds. Bruce and Janet got married on March 30, 1983. On October 26, 1988, Bruce became a proud father of twin boys, Thomas Reynolds and Stephen Reynolds.
Bruce worked for EXXON as a process technician and moved up to supervisor. He retired from EXXON in 2006. Bruce would frequent the gym, mostly the YMCA and Fitness Connection, to exercise and hang out with friends. He would also mentor the youth on how to properly use the gym equipment.
Pappadeuax and Pappas Seafood were Bruce’s favorite places to dine. He would dine there during dates with Janet, to celebrate milestones with his kids, or to watch sporting events. Bruce was a very active member of Christian Tabernacle Church. He performed usher duties at the 9AM Sunday service and attended Bible study every Wednesday. During carnival, Bruce would travel back to Antigua to enjoy the festivities and catch up with old friends.
Bruce Reynolds is survived by his sons, Stephen Reynolds and Thomas Reynolds; daughter Anika Reynolds; sisters, Janice Reynolds and Sandra Reynolds; brothers, Murdick Reynolds, Miron Reynolds, and Ludwig Reynolds; daughter-in-law Brittany Reynolds; Sisters-in-law, Nalda Reynolds, JoAnn Nixon and Judy Swanier; brother-in-law, John Nixon; and cousin-in-law Mildred Sam.
Bruce leaves a legacy of love and compassion not only for his family but also for his many friends and coworkers. We are forever grateful to have Bruce Reynolds be a part of our lives. He now reunites with his wife and his Lord inside the gates of heaven. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will sorely miss him.
