Brittany Elaine Gilmore, a cherished wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on August 9, 2024. Born on October 3, 1980, in Beaumont, Texas, Brittany was the beloved child of J.D. Walters, Jr. and JoAnn Knox Gilmore. She entered her eternal rest in Spring, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and a commitment to excellence.
Brittany was known for her impeccable grammar and her passion for ensuring that those around her communicated with clarity and precision. Her love for literature was evident in her fondness for reading and listening to audiobooks. She found joy in the courtroom dramas of Judge Judy and the culinary challenges of Hell's Kitchen with Chef Gordon Ramsey. However, it was Dr. Phil's show that held a special place in her heart.
Despite the age difference of thirteen years, Brittany shared a close bond with her brother Artis. Their presence together was always a highlight at gatherings, where they captivated everyone with their stories and laughter.
A devoted pet parent, Brittany's heart belonged to her furry companions, who will dearly miss her. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore new cuisines at restaurants, always eager to savor new flavors.
Brittany is survived by her loving wife, Mildred Valeria Velasquez, her parents JoAnn Knox Gilmore and J.D. Walters, Jr., her mother in law Angela Teresa Velasquez, her brother Artis Gilmore, her brother in laws, Juan Estrada and wife Teresa Estrada and Carlos Estrada and wife Maribel Estrada, her sister in laws, Katya Estrada, Sherly White, and Silvia Mendez, her nieces JaKara Lee, Alejandra Mendez, Samantha White, Stephanie Charania, Katalina Rivera, Angelica Estrada, and Dayanara Estrada, and nephews Tyrel Gilmore and Christopher Estrada.
