Brenda Louise Reed's Obituary
Brenda Louise Reed, cherished wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, in Channelview, Texas, at the age of 75.
Born on September 27, 1949, in Loraine, Texas to Luther Don Whitehead Sr and Maybelle Whitehead, Brenda was raised with a deep appreciation for family, faith, and community. On April 1, 1970, she married the love of her life, Patrick David Reed, in Houston, Texas. Their marriage was a beautiful journey of love, laughter, and unwavering partnership that lasted until Patrick’s passing.
Brenda embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and dedication. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cheering for her favorite NASCAR drivers and football teams, indulging in shopping trips, remodeling her home with creative flair, and traveling to Las Vegas to enjoy the thrill of the casino. Her vibrant spirit and sense of adventure were matched only by her love for those closest to her.
She is survived by her daughters, Catrina (and husband Bill Myers) and Shannon (and husband Shelby Murphy); her brother, Luther Don Whitehead Jr.; her grandchildren, Krista, Blake, and Kaylee; and her great-grandchildren, Makenzie, James, Kaiden, Dean, Liam, Madison, and Lucian. Brenda’s family was her greatest pride, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Patrick David Reed, and her sisters, Carolyn Henson and Rhonda Krustchinsky.
Brenda’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and resilience. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to shine through the lives of her family.
